Carmen Mama Crow, song bird with a strong word (New York native and Northern California transplant) evokes listeners on a deep, soul level. Her sound is a mix of rhythmic, funky finger picking and string slapping, guttural blues belts and quick lyrical flow with insidious phrasing.Vocally, she is like the love-child of Feist, Lauryn Hill, Cat Powers and Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote. She makes you think and laugh at the same time - and believes that if we stop being who we really are, the real people will never find us. She believes in the power of creative self-expression to heal - and delight. Rachel Anne Goodman is a singer, songwriter, teacher and radio producer from Bonny Doon, California.
