Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP) Training Course
This course will provide participants with foundational knowledge regarding how to implement the requirements of the “FSVP” rule (“Foreign Supplier Verification Programs for Importers of Food for Humans and Animals”) published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Course materials include practical group exercises to help reinforce materials covered, and group discussion will be part of the course – so bring your questions! The FSVP regulation is one of seven regulations which are part of the 2011 Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), all of which are intended to reinforce safe food practices throughout the supply chain for foods sold in the United States. The course is taught by FSPCA Lead Instructors for the Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP) course. The official FSPCA curriculum is used. The FSVP regulation does not mandate attending this course, but it is very strongly encouraged. Who Should Attend?
