Fall Festival- Pacific Grove
Parents’ Place of the Pacific Grove Adult Education Program will hold its annual Fall Festival on Wednesday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1025 Lighthouse Avenue in Pacific Grove in the Parents’ Place meadow.
The Fall Festival is a free event for young children and their families and caregivers. Activities will include arts and crafts, a visit by the Pacific Grove Fire Department, the My Museum Wheelie Mobilee, live music by Mary Lee Sunseri, and other fun.
A silent auction will include tickets to the 2019 Cali Roots Music and Arts Festival, gift certificates to local businesses, art, and other prizes. Attendees may also purchase $5 raffle tickets to win themed baskets, which include self care, downtown Pacific Grove, wine lovers, date in a box and more. All fundraising activities are sponsored by The Parenting Connection of Monterey County and 100% of proceeds will support Parents’ Place programs.
For nearly 30 years Parents’ Place has provided thousands of local families with the support needed to raise children in positive, healthy and loving ways. Over 275 families from across the Monterey Peninsula attend weekly classes with their children through age 3. The Parents’ Place program is nationally recognized as a model parent-education program, with honors including the Golden Bell Award from the California School Boards Association.
The Fall Festival is the primary annual fundraiser for Parents’ Place, bringing in over $7,500 in 2017. Event organizers hope to raise more this year, as the funding provides vital support for offered programs.
