Eating for Your Moon Cycle: 4 Week Wellness Series

With Certified Nutrition Consultant Erin Fisher Food is medicine and when it comes to women's menstrual cycle's, this couldn't be more true!  In this 4 week series, Erin will take you through each phase of your cycle while exploring the essential foods necessary to achieving balance. The series breaks down as follows: Week 1- Waxing Moon- Tuesday, June 4: This class will start with an overview of the 4 stages of the menstrual cycle, which will be the foundation for the 4 part series. Class 1 focuses on the first phase of the cycle. Erin will talk about which hormones are at play and will discuss what foods are supportive for this time of the cycle. There will be food demos to taste and easy recipes to take home and follow! Week 2- Full Moon- Tuesday, June 11: This class will focus on stage 2 of the menstrual cycle. Discussion will be focused on ovulation and why this is the most important part of the cycle. Food demos , recipes and how to support this ovulation stage will be the bulk of this class. Walk away with lots of information on how to support stage 2 of your cycle! Week 3- Waning Moon- Tuesday, June 18: Class three will cover PMS, (our favorite stage!). With so many challenges during this time of the cycle , discussion will be focused on what foods can allieviate and even banish PMS for good! Food demos and recipes will leave you with solid understanding on how to support your PMS , what is going on during PMS , and how to make the right food choices to support your body. Week 4- New Moon- Tuesday, June 25: In the last class Erin will round out the series withe stage 4 of the menstrual cycle: our period! In this class, discussion will be focused on anti-inflammatory foods to ease cramping and heavy bleeding. We will cover what is happening hormonally at this time and how this can cause sugar cravings. Erin will demonstrate ways to curb the sugar cravings and replace the sugar with healthy, satisfying treats. Come to this series to learn which foods are naturally designed to support your menstrual cycle and which foods are specific during for different times of the month. Walk away with a solid understanding of what these foods are and how to incorporate simple and effective recipes. About the Instructor: Erin’s studies started over 13 years ago when she ventured down the path of holistic healing and attended Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition. After graduation, Erin began working closely with individual clients, focusing on women and hormonal balance. She then enrolled in the Institute of Women's Health, a year-long program, studying in detail women's health and coaching. It is Erin’s goal to help empower women throughout their cycles. Erin is currently studying Integrative and Functional Medicine for Women with Aviva Romm.
