Community Impact Grant Information Session - Salinas

You are invited to learn about the Community Foundation for Monterey County's Community Impact grant program.  Applications addressing the 1) Arts, Culture & Historic Preservation, 2) Community Development and 3) Environment & Animal Welfare program areas are due by 5:00 PM, August 2, 2019 (applications requesting $15,000 or less are due by 5:00 PM, September 6, 2019). Grant seekers are invited to learn what's new for 2019 by viewing or listening to the Information Session presentation on our website. New applicants are encouraged to attend an in-person session to better understand our grant guidelines and discuss frequently asked questions. All are welcome. Who Should Attend? Grant writers and development directors new to the organization or unfamiliar with the Community Impact grant program New representatives who serve as the primary contact for a grant application and report If you are familiar with the Community Impact grant program and have questions, feel free to contact your program officer instead of attending this presentation.   Prior to your attendance (or contacting us), grant seekers are asked to review our grant guidelines, presentation slides/recording, application questions and list of recent grants available at www.cfmco.org/communityimpact.  Please consider attending the Evaluation Clinic immediately following the information session on Community Impact grants. This session is intended to help grantseekers strengthen the Evaluation Plan section of their Community Impact grant application and final report. The purpose of this session is to provide grantseekers with Clarity and transparency on what Community Foundation is looking for in a strong Evaluation Plan; A better understanding of how to submit a stronger grant application; and Feedback on how to propose realistic indicators and measurable goals. A brief overview of program evaluation will be provided to support program improvement and foundation grant applications in general.  Examples of strong evaluation plans will be shared, and attendees will have time to work on their evaluation plans during the session. Community Foundation program officers will be available to provide feedback on draft evaluation plans.  If your organization has an evaluation system, please bring a clear description and/or sample with you to revise in this hands-on clinic.
