Saturday, September 14, 2019, 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM

In this workshop led by Kellee Matsushita of the UCSC Farm & Garden, we will explore foundational concepts of seed saving: which crops to choose, how to crop plan for seed production, and discuss how botany impacts mating systems for various crops/species. We may be able to clean and process a few seed crops (weather dependent ). We will also discuss how we can participate in the reformation of local seed sheds. Bring seeds to share for a seed exchange at the end of class.
