3rd Annual Fish Tales: A Live Storytelling Event

The Santa Cruz-Monterey Bay chapter of the American Fisheries Society, together with the national literary mag Potluck Magazine, are throwing the third annual Fish Tales: A Live Storytelling Event. The night will feature local writers, artists, and storytellers at Food Lounge in downtown Santa Cruz, with local sustainable seafood, beer and wine, and a series of stellar short stories -- and the theme, of course: fish!  This year's storytellers include marine biologist and National Geographic Explorer Tierney Thys, local fisherman Mike Zucker, and lots of other talented fishy folks. This First Friday, Fish Tales is expanding to feature a gallery of incredibly talented local artists and their fish-themed work alongside our stellar stories. Artists include Amadeo Bachar, Emily Hess, Tentin Gillette and others.  Diego Felix from Colectivo Felix will be preparing a Panamerican inspired cuisine using ingredients from Monterey Bay and fish sourced from Ocean2Table.
