Intro to Yoga: The Asanas/Beach clean up
Join us on May 19th as we dive into the basics of the asanas, or yogic postures, followed by an intentional beach clean up! This will be day 1 of a 2 day weekend workshop. “Asana,” originated as seat in Sanskrit and the third limb of the 8 limbs of Yoga, is more known in our present time and western culture as the physical postures taken during the practice of yoga. Through this class we will be covering the basics of these movements, learning about the primary poses that are often seen and held in many yoga studios and classes. Whether you have grown a desire to begin your own practice and don’t know where to start or you are an experienced yogi looking for a gentle morning beach flow, this will be a great class to attend! This will be a non-required donation based class. Following the class, we will begin teaming up and start a sectional beach clean up ending at noon! More to be announced in the coming weeks!
